Propose a SIG for Pakistan’s Oracle community

SIGs are focused micro-communities inside PkOUG that run targeted learning tracks — seminars, hands-on training, study groups, demos, and mentoring. If you have a strong idea, we’ll help you shape it into a structured SIG.

Non-profit note

PkOUG is a non-profit organization. All revenues are reinvested into Oracle community services (seminars, training, meetups) and PKOUG operating/platform expenses.

What makes a great SIG?

  • Clear scope (e.g., OCI, EBS, APEX, Security, RAC/Data Guard).
  • Visible outcomes — sessions, labs, learning resources, or certification support.
  • Consistent cadence — monthly or bi-weekly is ideal.
  • Leadership — 1–2 leads + a small volunteer team.

What support does PkOUG provide?

  • Branding + announcements across PkOUG channels.
  • Registration/attendance tooling and community publishing.
  • Help with mentors/speakers and sponsor enablement (where suitable).
  • Website presence (SIG page + leads listing).
