Where to find them #
- On pkoug.org: My PKOUG → Notifications (/my/notifications) or the bell in the member header.
- On the forum: the bell in the header.
Both show the same inbox. Unread items are highlighted and the bell shows the unread count.
What creates a notification #
| Event | Example |
|---|---|
| Forum activity | Someone answered your question, replied to your topic, mentioned you with @handle, marked your answer as the accepted solution, or posted on a topic you follow |
| Moderation | A moderator acted on your content |
| Recognition | You reached a new rank, received a badge or annual recognition, or earned an accepted-solution bonus |
| Knowledge | Your submission entered review, needs revision, was approved, published or rejected; someone marked it helpful |
| Events | Attendance or speaker verification |
| Followed broadcasts | New Knowledge in an area you follow, when you opted in |
Read state #
- Open takes you to the item.
- Mark read clears one notification; Mark all as read clears the inbox.
The inbox is paginated, 30 per page. Unread notifications are kept.
