Every award is recorded in your activity ledger under the rule in force at the time. The values below are the rules in force when this article was last reviewed; the forum's Contribution Program page always shows the current values.

Discussions do not earn question points.
Knowledge and events (automatic after review or verification) #
| Activity | Points | Reputation |
|---|---|---|
| Your Knowledge resource is published | +40 | +10 |
| Someone marks your Knowledge resource helpful | +5 | +2 |
| Verified event attendance | +10 | 0 |
| Verified event speaker | +50 | +15 |
Publishing a resource awards once, even if it is later republished. Registering for an event awards nothing; attendance credit needs a registration linked to your member account and verified by an events administrator. See Attendance verification and contribution credit.
Reviewed off-forum contributions #
Awarded by an administrator after reviewing evidence: approved article or tutorial (+40 / +8), approved technical lab or guide (+75 / +12), approved code or script (+20 / +4), useful issue report (+5 / +1, up to 15 a day), helpful comment (+1 / +1, up to 10 a day), helpful reaction (+1 / +1, up to 20 a day), speaking at an event (+50 / +10), delivering a workshop (+75 / +15), mentorship participation (+30 / +3), completed mentorship (+75 / +12), volunteer activity (+25 / +3), successful referral (+10 / 0) and technical challenge winner (+100 / +15).
When points are reversed #
- Removing your content, withdrawing a vote or changing an accepted solution records a reversal; earlier entries are never edited.
- If the situation is restored (content restored, vote cast again, answer accepted again) the award is earned again. Only one award for the same event is active at a time, so toggling cannot farm points.
- An administrator may make an audited correction of up to ±1,000 points at a time, with a recorded reason.
