Files are checked by content, not only by name. An image must be a real image, and text files must be plain text. Other types, including PDF, HTML, SVG and scripts, are refused.
How attachments are shown #
- Images may display inline; text, log and SQL files download as plain text.
- Every download checks that you can see the topic. An attachment in a members-only category is not available to visitors.
- An attachment on a removed reply is available only to moderators.
If an upload is refused, the topic or reply is not posted, so you can correct the file and try again.
