Who moderates #
Forum moderators and administrators are appointed by PKOUG administrators. Moderation powers never come from points, rank or badges.
| Moderators can | Only administrators can |
|---|---|
| Review reports | Change someone's forum privileges |
| Edit, remove and restore posts | Suspend or reinstate posting access |
| Lock, unlock, pin and unpin topics | Manage categories |
| Accept or change an accepted solution | Read the forum audit log |
| Manage the tag vocabulary |
Reports #
Reports are reviewed oldest first. A moderator records a conclusion — no action needed, content removed, content edited, topic locked or author warned — and takes any action on the content separately, so each action is audited.
Removal is reversible #
Removed topics and replies are hidden, not permanently deleted, and can be restored. Contribution awards for removed content are reversed and restored with it. You are notified when a moderator acts on your content.
Locked topics #
A locked topic stays readable but only moderators can reply.
Suspension #
An administrator can suspend posting for a number of days or with no end date, with a reason that is recorded and shown to the member. A suspended member can still read but cannot post, vote, follow, bookmark or report.
Questions or appeals #
