Signing in to PKOUG and the Community Forum

Sign in with your member email address and password on pkoug.org. The forum uses the same account through a secure handoff.

Sign in to pkoug.org #

  1. Open Member sign in at /member/login.php.
  2. Enter your email address and password.
  3. Select Sign in securely. You arrive at My PKOUG, or back at the page that sent you to sign in.

Sign in to the forum #

  1. On forum.pkoug.org select Sign in.
  2. If you are not already signed in on pkoug.org, sign in there.
  3. You are returned to the forum page you started from.

If sign-in fails #

The sign-in page shows the same message for every failure — a wrong password, an unknown address, an account that is not yet set up, or one that is not allowed to sign in. This is deliberate: it stops anyone discovering which addresses belong to members.

Check these in order:

  1. Have you set a password? Approved members set their first password through an emailed set-up link. See Setting up your account password.
  2. Forgotten password? Use Reset your password.
  3. Is your application approved and your email verified? Only approved, verified members can sign in.
  4. Too many attempts? After repeated failures sign-in is paused and the page tells you how many minutes to wait.

Staying signed in #

A member session ends after 30 minutes without activity, and after 12 hours at most. You then sign in again.
