Starting a discussion

Use a discussion for experience, comparisons and community conversation that does not have a single correct answer.

  1. Select Ask a Question in the forum header.
  2. Under What are you posting? choose Discussion.
  3. Write a clear title (15–255 characters) and details (at least 30 characters).
  4. Choose a category and up to five tags.
  5. Post.

How discussions differ from questions #

  • Replies are shown as a conversation. There is no accepted solution.
  • Discussions appear under Discussions rather than Questions and are not counted as unanswered.
  • Starting a discussion does not earn question contribution points.
